There isn’t much left for Aaron Donald to accomplish on the field, having already won two Defensive Player of the Year awards and being named to six Pro Bowls, but he’s still adding to his resume off the field.
On Monday, Donald announced that he’s officially a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. Donald finished his career at Pitt in 2013 and was a first-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, but he committed to finishing school and earning a degree in communication.

During the online commencement ceremony, Donald shared a statement for all of the graduates.
“Shoutout to all the students graduating. I know you guys are proud, I know your family’s proud of you guys. I’m proud of you for being a Pitt alum,” Donald said. “You know I’m cheering for you, hoping nothing but the best.”
Donald still has a long way to go before he pursues opportunities after football, having played just six seasons in the NFL. But it’s always awesome to see a player go back to school and finish earning his degree.
