This just stinks. But if you watch or play Wheel of Fortune, you know one thing the show is a stickler about: You’ve got to pronounce the puzzle correctly and be sure not to add extraneous words.
This week, one contestant lost out on a trip to Puerto Rico because of that latter rule. He clearly knew the answer: FROZEN CONCOCTION (the clue was “Food & Drink”), but because he said, “A frozen concoction,” he was technically wrong because he added the “A.”
And he knew it, trying to correct himself. But it was too late. I feel so bad for this guy, who was rightfully frustrated:
