A top 2025 recruit had some interesting comments about Kentucky basketball

Top ten 2025 recruit Nate Ament had some interesting things to say about Kentucky basketball.

Kentucky basketball coach Mark Pope has already put together a very good recruiting class for 2025, and has the makings of a strong roster for next season. There are also a few top recruits out there that the Wildcats would love to still get in Nate Ament and Caleb Wilson.

The Cats have been favored to land Wilson, but Ament is projected to go to Duke. Both are top ten forwards in the 2025 class.

Recently, Ament spoke to On3’s Jamie Shaw, and had a few comments that Big Blue Nation might find interesting.

First, he was complementary of Kentucky’s offense and their ability to score points. Then he was asked about playing alongside Caleb Wilson, and had this to say:

That guy is a winner. He’s won at every level he’s been at. I feel like with me playing with someone like Caleb Wilson, would benefit us both, growing together as freshmen.

It’s believed that landing one would end pursuit of the other, but that may not be the case. It’s likely still a longshot, but it’s a very nice idea to think about.

Both Wilson and Ament are set to make their decisions over the next few months. Kentucky fans will be watching closely.
