It will have to be Roll Tide Roll for Texas fans, even if that is a painful thought. Watching your future head coach on a big stage and being successful will bring a whole new level of pedigree over to the Texas program. Sarkisian has produced one of the most historic offenses in history. Capping it off with a national championship would be the icing on the cake.

After DeVonta Smith won the Heisman, the official Texas football Twitter account sent out a congratulations tweet to the wide receiver. Hopefully, nothing similar will occur if Alabama beats Ohio State. Swooping to the level of Texas A&M fans is never fun.

Even if some Longhorn fans cannot stomach to cheer for Nick Saban’s squad, it will be one of the best games of the season. It has been since 2017 since we’ve witnessed a competitive national championship after Clemson beat Alabama 44-16. The Tigers came up short against LSU 42-25 the next year.

A good title game has been due.
