Josh McCown is 40 years old, has played in the NFL for 17 seasons, and on Sunday he finally got to play in his first-ever playoff game.
The veteran was thrust into action for the Philadelphia Eagles after Carson Wentz was knocked out of the game thanks to what looked like a cheap shot by Jadaveon Clowney in the first quarter.
McCown gave it his all over the final three and a half quarters but he was unable to beat the Seahawks, as the Eagles’ season ended with a 17-9 loss to Seattle.
After the game, an emotional McCown explained how special this game was for him:

He also shared a special moment with Zach Ertz before leaving the field for most likely the last time in his career:

What a class act who has battled for so long in the league.
Bravo, Josh McCown.
