Ubisoft has announced a Splinter Cell remake.

Rumors of a new entry in the long-running stealth series swirled about recently, but it’s official now. Ubisoft Toronto is developing the game, which will utilize the company’s new Snowdrop engine that’s also powering the forthcoming Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and a yet to be revealed Star Wars title.

The Splinter Cell remake is still in early development, but that hasn’t stopped Ubisoft from sharing a teaser video regarding the project. Ubisoft Toronto is passionate about the franchise, both about how innovative the original game was and how they plan to modernize the formula.
