A sincere ‘happy Monday’ to all Notre Dame fans

Game week!

You know what are generally awful?

Monday’s.

Find me someone who says they like Monday’s on the regular and I’ll show you a liar.  However, this Monday is different.

Here’s an official and pleasant “WELCOME TO GAME WEEK!” for each and everyone of you.  We’ve got five days to go until No. 5 Notre Dame opens the year in what is probably the most-hyped opener I can remember since my Fighting Irish fandom began in the very early 90’s and quite simply, it’s about stinking time.

I just want to put a message out for all of you that I sincerely appreciate each and everyone of you that continue to make Fighting Irish Wire work.  Many of you are die-hard Notre Dame fans while others are a little bit more hands off but have an interest and others are just college sports fans that enjoy checking out our perspectives.

Simply put: thank you.

It’s genuinely exciting for me to get to share my passion for Notre Dame football with you on the regular and I’m stoked for the new era of Fighting Irish football to get underway Saturday night.

Thank you for making this site possible, thank you for your support over my first couple of years here at Fighting Irish Wire, and thank you for being with us as we continue to make this thing grow and tick in the coming weeks and months.

If you’re lacking the pep in your step just yet then perhaps spending a quick three minutes with the trumpets under the dome will help get your blood going.

Go Irish. Beat Buckeyes.

LET’S GO.
