A signed rookie card by New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson sold for nearly $100,000 over the weekend in an auction on eBay, according to Darren Rovell of The Action Network.
After 182 bids on the auction website, the card sold for a final price of $99,800. As of posting time, the buyer had yet to pay for the card and complete the sale.
Of course, Williamson has emerged as one of the most entertaining players in the NBA this season given his athleticism and ability to make highlight-reel plays. He made his debut in January and immediately made an impact with the Pelicans.
Prior to the season suspension, Williamson often took time to sign autographs but that could change once fans are allowed back into venues following the coronavirus pandemic.

Williamson and the Pelicans will be among the 22 teams that will travel to the Walt Disney World Resort to restart the season in July near Orlando, Florida.
The games at the Wide World of Sports Complex will be played without fans present.
