A shortstop in the MLB Futures Game threw a 100 mph laser to first base and fans were in awe

WHOA.

The MLB All-Star Week festivities are off and running in Los Angeles and last night at Dodger Stadium we were able to see a lot young stars showing off their skills in the MLB All-Star Futures Game.

One player went viral for throwing a ball 100.5 mph and it wasn’t a pitcher. It was a shortstop.

For real.

St. Louis Cardinals prospect Masyn Winn fielded a ground ball in the top of the second and threw an absolute laser to first base that easily got the runner out and might have bruised the first baseman’s hand.

Look at the smoke on this thing:

Wow.

Twitter was in awe.
