A second Kentucky wide receiver transfers to Nebraska

Kentucky football will be losing receiver Hardley Gilmore to Nebraska.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers wide receiver room is going to have a decidedly Kentucky football feel to it in 2025. First, Wildcats receivers coach Daikiel Shorts left for the same position at Nebraska, then Dane Key committed through the transfer portal. Now, Hardley Gilmore will join them.

Gilmore is a 6’1″, 178 lb wide receiver out of Florida. He was a four star recruit in the 2024 class, and ranked as the number 317 overall recruit on the 247sports composite board.

An injury delayed the start to his college career, but he showed flashes in his limited action for the Wildcats. He totaled 6 receptions for 153 yards and a touchdown on the season, and averaged over 25 yards per reception.

Gilmore was going to be big part of the offense for Kentucky next season, but now they’ll have to shift to Plan B. Look for Mark Stoops to add receiving help from the transfer portal once again.
