A referee hilariously warned Colorado’s DJ about playing music when Stanford had the ball

TURN IT DOWN, COLORADO DJ!

We know that Colorado knows how to throw a party, especially since Deion Sanders took over as head coach of the Buffaloes’ football team. Celebrities often show up in droves, from Kevin Garnett to Lil Wayne. And the offense led by Shedeur Sanders has proven to be able to score points in bunches, often prompting the quarterback to hit his signature celebration.

But on Friday night as the Buffs hosted Stanford, the partying got a little too loud for one referee’s liking.

At the start of the second quarter, ahead of a third-and-1 play for the Cardinal, the referee stopped the game and issued a stern warning to Colorado’s public address announcer, essentially telling the folks in the booth that the stadium DJ can’t play music when Stanford is under center.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the only game a warning like this has been issued this season. In N.C. State’s win over Marshall last weekend, a referee sent a similar warning to the Wolfpack.

Regardless, college football fans on social media thought this was all quite hilarious.
