A ref apologized to Tee Higgins on a hot mic after bumping the Bengals receiver

“Sorry about that!”

NFL referee Alex Kemp is fast becoming the official who doesn’t mind interacting with players while he’s on a hot mic.

Back in September, he was the ref who was in the middle of telling the world about a penalty in the Seattle Seahawks game, when Geno Smith started arguing with him. Kemp interrupted him with, “I’m trying to talk to America here, excuse me!”

Fast-forward to Sunday night, when he was calling offside on the Buffalo Bills. His hand hit a passing Tee Higgins, and Kemp said, “Sorry about that,” before continuing with the call. Very smooth!
