A look back at Tennessee football’s win over North Carolina State in 2012 at the Georgia Dome.

Tennessee (1-0) will play North Carolina State (1-0) in the Duke’s Mayo Classic during Week 2 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers.

Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT and ABC will televise the contest.

2012 was the final season for Derek Dooley as head coach at Tennessee.

The Vols scored 22 points in the first quarter.

Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray completed 27-of-41 passing attempts for 333 yards and two touchdowns.

Marlin Lane was Tennessee’s leading rusher (75 yards) on nine attempts.

Cordarrelle Patterson totaled six receptions for 93 yards and one touchdown. He also recorded 72 rushing yards and scored on a 67-yard touchdown.

Rajion Neal also scored a rushing touchdown for the Vols and Michael Palardy kicked two field goals.

Tennessee’s defense scored a safety after Curt Maggitt forced a fumble that went out of the North Carolina State end zone. Byron Moore, Eric Gordon. Prentiss Waggner and Marsalis Teague each recorded an interception for the Vols.
