Tennessee (4-4, 2-3 SEC) will play at Kentucky (6-2, 4-2 SEC) Saturday in Week 10 at Kroger Field.
Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT and will be televised by ESPN2.
Tennessee and Kentucky first played in football on Oct. 21, 1893. The Wildcats defeated Tennessee, 56-0, in Knoxville.
Tennessee’s first win in the series took place Nov. 4, 1899 in Knoxville. The Vols were victorious, 12-0.
From 1925–1997, Tennessee and Kentucky played for the Beer Barrel. The Beer Barrel was awarded to the game’s winner each year.
Following the Vols’, 59-31, victory at Kentucky in 1997, senior quarterback Peyton Manning and teammates celebrated on the sideline with the Beer Barrel.
