It’s a shame sacks weren’t officially recorded until the 1982 season, because from 1982 to 1984, the final three years of his career, Selmon amassed 23 of them. Who knows how many more he collected over the previous six years? Still, Selmon is easily one of the best Buccaneers ever. He made six straight Pro Bowls with Tampa Bay and was named a first-team All-Pro in 1979. Selmon passed away in 2011 at the age of 56 from complications from a stroke.
