A look at the gameday odds and props for Penn State vs. Indiana

A look at the updated gameday odds shows Penn State is still a two-score favorite over Indiana in Week 5.

Penn State begins October as a significant favorite at home against Indiana on Saturday night, and the Nittany Lions have been a sizable favorite all week long. According to the updated gameday odds from Tipico, Penn State is still favored to beat the Hoosiers by two scores.

Penn State is a -12.5 point favorite against Indiana on gameday, and that is feeling like a pretty good pick to ride with. Penn State is in a revenge game situation, at home, in primetime, and playing a team that has struggled against the best defenses it has faced so far this season (Iowa, Cincinnati).

Penn State-Indiana Moneyline

  • Penn State -500
  • Indiana +360

Total Points: 53.5

As a nearly two-touchdown favorite against Indiana, it should be expected Penn State would be a heavy favorite on the moneyline. And they are. The total on the game, however, may be a tougher pick to make.

The point total for this game is set at 53.5. Based on my outlook for the game, the under may be the call to make. But if you think this is a game Indiana may win, then you may want to double-dip and take the over as well. The points Indiana may require to win this game may lead to a bunch of points. But Penn State’s defense hasn’t yielded more than 20 points in a game yet, which is why the under could be the winner here.
