A look at the Buccaneers’ forgettable 2016 draft class

With the 2020 NFL draft upon us, Buccaneers GM Jason Licht will be hoping it won’t be a repeat of 2016.

Round 1 (No. 11): CB Vernon Hargreaves

Hargreaves started off strong in Tampa Bay, playing and starting all 16 games his rookie year, collecting one interception and one forced fumble. But injuries limited him to just 10 games over the next two seasons. His 2019 season started off with a pick-six in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers, but after nine games and his benching in Week 10, it was clear the Bucs wanted to move on. Hargreaves was cut and eventually landed in Houston with the Texans.
