Tennessee won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association championship in 1914, its first conference championship in program history.

Tennessee finished 9-0 (6-0 SIAA) under head coach Z.G. Clevenger in 1914. UT outscored its opponents, 374-37. The Vols wore black on its jerseys during the 1914 campaign.
