It is time to start a new era of football in the Sooner state. Lincoln Riley is now gone and Brent Venables has returned to lead the Oklahoma program. Venables spent 13 years in Norman under legendary coach Bob Stoops before heading to Clemson. Now he gets his first shot as a head coach and his first quarterback will be UCF transfer, [autotag]Dillon Gabriel[/autotag].
The Hawaii native spent three seasons with the Knights and played in two bowl games for UCF. He would only play in three games during the 2021 season before an injury ruined his season. Despite the small sample size, we are diving into Gabriel’s performance.
