A look at NASCAR’s weather forecast for Martinsville in April 2024

Take a look at NASCAR’s weather forecast for the Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway in April 2024!

NASCAR is heading to Martinsville Speedway for a Sunday afternoon show that hopefully will feature more passing opportunities than in recent years. The last six weekends have featured sunny or cloudy skies throughout the racing, with some notable winds in a few of those races. Now, NASCAR hopes to bring that clear weather to Virginia on Sunday afternoon.

According to Weather.com, the weather forecast at Martinsville Speedway calls for a high of 68° and mostly sunny skies on Sunday. On Saturday, it will be a high of 59° during the day, and the winds won’t be a significant issue throughout the weekend. The forecast calls for 13 miles per hour winds on Saturday and four miles per hour winds on Sunday.

The sport is ready to take on Martinsville, representing its first of two dates during the 2024 season. With good weather in the forecast, NASCAR teams and drivers will be able to build a good notebook for the Round of 8 finale in the playoffs. The first of two races at Martinsville has arrived, and there are a lot of eyes on the on-track action this weekend.
