A look at Kentucky’s Knoxville area football pipeline.

The Tennessee-Kentucky football rivalry is one of the longest running series in the history of the Southeastern Conference.

Lately, especially during Rich Brooks and Joker Phillips head coaching eras in Lexington, a small pipeline went from East Tennessee to the Bluegrass State.

Four Knoxville area high school stars played for the Wildcats between 2006-10.

He won four Class 3A state football championships while playing for the Tornadoes.

He has went on to have a solid career in the National Football League. The former Wildcat was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft.

Cobb played for the Packers from 2011-18 and made the Pro Bowl 2014. He played for the Dallas Cowboys in 2019 before landing in Houston this season.
