A look at Arkansas’ history in the 2:30 SEC on CBS game

The Razorbacks have had some epic victories on CBS’ featured telecast, but historically haven’t fared well in the time slot.

The Southeastern Conference Game of the Week has been on CBS since 1996.

Fans in Arkansas have watched the Razorbacks on CBS at 2:30 on national television 40 times coming into Saturday’s tilt with Texas A&M.

The record? 12-28, which comes out to a .300 winning percentage.

That’s a good average in baseball, but not so much in terms of winning football seasons.

This game hasn’t been featured in this time slot since 2014, when the Aggies won a hard-fought 35-28 victory over the Razorbacks.

Arkansas hasn’t been in the 2:30 slot since 2017, when it faced No. 23 TCU in the second game of the season in what ultimately ended up being Bret Bielema’s final season with the team.

The Razorbacks lost 28-7.

Not counting the prescheduled Black Friday showdowns with Missouri in 2018 and 2019 at 1:30, the last time Arkansas played on CBS by network choice was a 28-21 loss to Mississippi State in 2017.
