Tonight’s big game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers has lost quite a bit of its luster.
According to ESPN, LeBron James will miss the contest due to soreness in his left knee.
That left knee has been a problem for the four-time MVP over the last several weeks. It caused him to miss five consecutive games at mid-season and an additional game earlier this month.
L.A. has needed James to put up huge games in order to have a chance at victory. On Monday he had 38 points and a triple-double as the Lakers beat his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, 131-120.
The Lakers’ next contest will be on Sunday versus the New Orleans Pelicans, so James will have a few days off to get his knee ready for a return to game action.
