Earlier this summer, Kentucky football commit Preston Bowman was contacted by Ohio State, looking to get him to change his commitment. Now, another Wildcats recruit has heard from another school. Cornerback Demarcus Gardner has received an offer, and it’s another SEC school.
On Sunday, Gardner posted on the social platform X that he had received a scholarship offer from the Ole Miss Rebels. This comes after a hot start to his Senior season in which he returned an interception 97 yards for a score.

Gardner is a three-star cornerback out of Georgia, ranked number 727 overall in the 2025 class by 247sports composite rankings. He originally committed to UCF, but flipped to the Wildcats after a visit to Lexington.
The 2025 Wildcats class is a solid one, and Gardner is certainly a part of that. Coach Mark Stoops and his staff will definitely want to keep him around, and fans should hope he sticks around too.
