The Detroit Tigers went on one of the more miraculous runs to make the postseason, and starting pitcher Tarik Skubal was a huge reason behind that.
The Tigers ace is almost certainly going to win the American League Cy Young Award, and you just know he wanted to carry over that same quality into the postseason. In Monday’s Game 2 of the ALDS, Skubal was sensational against the Guardians, and he had some help from the defense behind him.
After Detroit got out of the fifth inning by way of a double play, Skubal was so pumped up that he had some choice words for all the fans at Progressive Field as he made his way to the dugout.
Here’s the play that got Skubal going.

But check out that reaction. It shouldn’t take much lip-reading skills to figure out what Skubal said there.
