A fan holds up a “Where’s Dook” sign during an ESPN broadcast

College hoop fans find the UNC fan who held up a “Where’s Dook” sign during an ESPN broadcast, garnering attention all over social media.

Fans sought out UNC fans who held the “Where’s Dook” sign in the ESPN broadcast Friday night.

As UNC was giving it to Pitt, there was a Tar Heel fan, who garnered attention on social media, holding up a “Where’s Dook” sign on her phone while wearing a T-shirt that displayed Duke’s Kyle Filipowski tripping Harrison Ingram. The fan smartly secured tickets behind the commentary desk, knowing she would get television coverage to show the hilarious sign.

People on social went on a search looking for this fan to praise them, and it didn’t take long for her to be found. Going by @oldtownmom on the X platform, the Tar Heel fan confirmed the seats were strategic, and appeared to have a great time doing so.

In case you wondered why “Where’s Dook” is a thing, it’s because the famous slogan has been held up by fans and even some former Tar Heels like Theo Pinson throughout the years. Given Duke’s shocking defeat in their first ACC tournament game against NC State, it’s a clear reason why the slogan is back out.

UNC will have a chance to do what Duke couldn’t, by beating NC State Saturday night to secure the ACC tournament championship.
