We were warned, as we are every year, about the rough at the U.S. Open.
And every year, we see players struggling to hit it out of the tall stuff.
On Thursday, at Winged Foot, we saw none other than Tiger Woods take a shot from the rough in his first round … and man, did he have trouble getting it out.
As you’ll see from the videos, photos and the shot tracker, he struggled to get any air under the ball. That led to Woods smacking the rough out of frustration, and who could blame him?
