The Nebraska Cornhuskers returned to their winning ways on Saturday, defeating the Purdue Boilermakers 28-10. The win improves Nebraska’s record to 4-1 (1-1) on the season while Purdue falls to 1-3 (0-1).
The win gives Nebraska the series lead against Purdue at 7-6, and the Huskers are now tied at 4-4 all-time in West Lafayette.
Freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola finished 17-of-27 for 257 yards and a touchdown. He has thrown at least one touchdown pass in all five games this season.
Jahmal Banks led the receiving corps with five catches for 82 yards and a touchdown. Jacory Barney Jr. led the Huskers in rushing with 66 yards off four carries, while Emmett Johnson contributed 50 yards on eight carries.
Nebraska will return home to host the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is now scheduled for 3:00 p.m. CT, and the game can be seen on FS1.
