A classy Justin Jefferson made sure Jordan Addison kept the ball from his first career TD

Justin Jefferson is a fantastic teammate.

Amidst a tough 20-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Justin Jefferson was understandably unhappy at intermittent points with his team’s performance. That didn’t stop the superstar receiver from looking out for rookie playmaker Jordan Addison.

After Addison scored a 39-yard touchdown early in the second quarter, the young receiver started celebrating the first score of his career. Jefferson would join him. But Addison almost ran away without an important memento — the touchdown ball marking his first-ever time in the end zone.

In the classiest gesture for a teammate, Jefferson turned Addison around to ensure he’d take home the milestone football. And a small “crisis” for the Vikings was averted.

Jefferson gets tons of headlines for embarrassing cornerbacks and safeties every single week. What he did for Addison was more understated and should get just as much attention for the kindness.
