Broncos QB Bo Nix gifts Traeger smoker grills to offensive linemen

Broncos QB Bo Nix gifted Traeger smoker grills to the team’s offensive linemen for Christmas.

Earlier this week, Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was asked if he planned to participate in the NFL tradition of starting QBs gifting Christmas presents to their offensive line.

“I’m afraid if I don’t participate, I’ll be cut from the team,” Nix joked on Tuesday. “So yes I’m participating. It’s going to be a surprise.”

The surprise: Traeger smoker grills for each offensive lineman on the team.

“It’s a great gift,’’ center Luke Wattenberg told The Denver Gazette‘s Chris Tomasson on Thursday. “I’m super excited to use it. He took us in (Wednesday) morning to one of the garages out there and he had them all stacked up.”

Nix gifted the grills to all 13 members of the offensive line, including three players on the practice squad and one on injured reserve, right tackle Mike McGlinchey told Tomasson.

Nix has been sacked 22 times this season, the seventh-best total among the NFL’s 32 starting quarterbacks.
