Just a few days ago, Kentucky football landed a commitment from former Maryland cornerback Kevis Thomas. They were hoping to also double dip from the transfer portal with Myles Norwood from Ball State, but he committed to South Carolina on Thursday.
Norwood is a 6’1″, 180 lb corner out of Missouri. He played for Iowa State first, but wound up transferring to Ball State after nearly choosing New Mexico State. Now, he’ll play for the Gamecocks after having them and the Wildcats in his final two.

Last season, Norwood recorded 38 tackles for Ball State, including two for a loss. He was also credited with 10 passes defensed and a fumble recovery. He doesn’t have an interception yet.
Wildcats coach Mark Stoops and his staff were hoping to land Norwood to add to the depth in the secondary. Now, they’ll likely look elsewhere as they continue to revamp a roster that never came together, and finished with the worst Kentucky record since 2013.
