The Green Bay Packers released the team’s first injury report of Week 17 on Wednesday. The team will release two more injury reports, including a final injury report on Friday with official playing status designations before facing the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday afternoon.
Here’s everything to know from the Packers’ first injury report of Week 17:
Who didn’t participate?
Four players didn’t practice: receiver Christian Watson (knee), safety Evan Williams (quad), linebacker Quay Walker (ankle) and linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper (ankle). Keep in mind, the Packers didn’t practice on Wednesday, so all participation reports are estimates. The Packers are saying they don’t think any of the four would have practiced.
Any new injuries?
Yes. Watson and Hopper are dealing with new injuries coming out of Monday night’s win over the Saints and wouldn’t have been available to practice on Wednesday. Coach Matt LaFleur didn’t rule out Watson from being able to return this week after he avoided a significant injury. Tight end Tucker Kraft added a hip injury but was estimated as limited. Williams hurt his quad on Saturday last week and missed Monday night vs. the Saints, and now he’s in danger of missing another game or more.
Any returns to practice?
Rookie defensive back Javon Bullard, who has missed two straight games, was estimated as a limited participant on Wednesday, suggesting he’s going to return to on-field work this week.
Did Jaire Alexander practice?
He was estimated as a full participant again on Wednesday. Alexander practiced in full all last week but wasn’t ready to return to game action. He’s TBD for this week, obviously.

What’s to know from Vikings injury report?
The Vikings didn’t practice on Wednesday either, so all participation reports are estimates. Safety Harrison Smith was a non-participant with a foot injury, and cornerback Fabian Moreau was out with a hip injury. Both were out last week. The Vikings did return linebacker Ivan Pace Jr., who practiced in full coming off a stint on IR with a hamstring injury. The only other limited player was defensive lineman Jalen Redmond, who is coming back from a concussion.
