The NFL community and Philadelphia Eagles are mourning the passing of legendary linebacker Bill Bergey, who passed away after a three-year cancer battle.
Bergey’s son Jake announced on social media Christmas morning.

Bergey played 159 games for the Eagles, recording almost 1,200 tackles. He was a five-time Pro Bowler, including four times with Philadelphia.
Bergey was named to the All-NFL team every year from 1974 to 1978.
Bergey was inducted into the Eagles’ Roll of Honor in 1988. In 2011, he was inducted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame and the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame.
