A 218 rushing-yard performance that marks the second-highest single-game total in Taylor’s career? Check.
Eclipsing the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the third time in his Colts’ career? Check.
Being the catalyst behind a 335-team rushing performance that set a new single-game franchise record? Check.
Winning the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Week award? Check.
And now, Taylor also won the the FedEx Ground Player of the Week award as well.
As mentioned, Taylor finished Sunday’s game with 218 rushing yards that included touchdowns runs of 65 yards and 70 yards. In total, Taylor found the end zone three times and averaged a hefty 7.5 yards per attempt.
Taylor was one of six players nominated for FedEx Ground award in Week 16. Joining him were Jayden Daniels, Jared Goff, De’Von Achane, Chuba Hubbard, and Justin Jefferson.
In past years there was a ground winner and an air winner of the award each week, however, this season there will be two winners regardless of the position.
The FedEx Air and Ground Players of the Year will be announced during the week of the Super Bowl.
Each week during the 2024 season, FedEx will make donations of $2,000 in honor of the each winner to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the United States.
