The Indiana Pacers (14-15) take on the Golden State Warriors (15-12) Monday. Tip-off from Chase Center is set for 10 p.m. ET (NBA TV). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Pacers vs. Warriors odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; tied 1-1 last year

The Pacers won their fourth straight with a 122-95 road win against the Sacramento Kings Sunday. F Pascal Siakam led the 7 players in double figures with 19 points and 10 boards. G Tyrese Haliburton was 4-for-9 from downtown. This is important because he has been awful from distance this year, but he’s shooting 39.2% from deep this month.

The Warriors snapped a 3-game losing streak with a 113-103 road win against the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday. G Stephen Curry (31 points) rebounded from arguably his worst game as a pro — a 2-point performance at the Memphis Grizzlies Thursday. He was 7-for-16 from 3-point land and had 10 assists.

Pacers at Warriors picks and predictions

Prediction

Pacers 119, Warriors 116

Moneyline

I’m taking the PACERS +180 here for a number of reasons. The Warriors are at home on the day before Christmas Eve and have a showdown at Chase Center against the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day. There could be a ton of distractions off the court for the holiday. However, Indiana is on the road and returns home for a game Thursday.

Indiana is simply playing better, too, winners of 5 of 6, and Golden State is just 3-7 in its last 10. One of those was a demoralizing 144-93 loss at Memphis, which, credit to the Dubs, they responded well after.

Lastly, the Pacers have won the last 5 meetings in this building; I promise, I haven’t gotten ahold of the eggnog (yet). That is a wild fact. For these odds on a couple of similar teams, give me the value.

Against the spread

There’s no reason to play the spread when we’re taking the value on the ML.

I considered Haliburton Over 2.5 three-pointers (-165), but that’s too expensive for me. He went 5-for-12 in 2 games against the Warriors last year.

PASS.

Over/Under

The Pacers haven’t hit an Over in 5 straight games despite scoring 118.2 points per game in them. The Warriors are also 2-8 O/U in their last 10. This is the lowest total in this matchup in the last 4 games, though. I look for a shootout that goes OVER 228.5 (-115).
