Watch: Tyler Higbee gets game ball from Sean McVay in awesome postgame moment

Sean McVay showed love to Tyler Higbee after the Rams’ win over the Jets, giving him a game ball in the locker room

It was a long road back for Tyler Higbee, who tore his ACL and MCL in January’s playoff game against the Detroit Lions. He underwent surgery to repair his knee in the offseason in addition to having a procedure on his shoulder, causing him to miss the first 14 games of the 2024 season.

But on Sunday afternoon, he made his way back onto the field for the first time in 11 months and it came with a storybook ending. Higbee caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford in the fourth quarter, which proved to be the game-winning score; it gave the Rams a 16-9 lead, which they never relinquished.

After the game, Sean McVay handed out game balls to a handful of individuals, including Higbee.

“Being able to come back, it’s as excited as I’ve seen a team for a guy getting into the end zone,” McVay said before tossing the ball to Higbee.

Higbee gave McVay a hug and broke down the locker room huddle with a great speech.

“I love every one of y’all. We got something special, man. I’m telling you. Good teams find a way to (expletive) win. Let’s do it every (expletive) week. Come back and work this week and let’s go get another one,” Higbee said.

He then got mobbed by his teammates, who chanted “Higbee! Higbee!” over and over.

What a moment and what a win by the Rams.
