Nebraska wide receiver Isaiah Neyor will not play in the Pinstripe Bowl against the Boston College Eagles next Saturday. Coach Matt Rhule made this announcement at his press conference on Friday. Neyor wants to focus on preparation for the NFL Draft.
Neyor was brought over to the Huskers from the Texas Longhorns in January. The upperclassman helped stabilize the wide receiver unit, recording 34 catches for 455 yards and five touchdowns.
His best game of the season came against Illinois. He caught four passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 22.5 yards per catch.
His abscence will allow some of the younger wide receivers to be able to step up and make an impact during the game. Neyor undoubtedly made his contributions to the Huskers and was able to help aid the development of the younger wideouts.
It will be interesting to see who steps up next Saturday, as the program will play their final game of the 2024 season.
