Clemson football announces uniform combination for Texas game

Here’s what Clemson will be wearing in today’s game vs. Texas.

There probably wasn’t much suspense heading into this week’s first-round College Football Playoff game between the Clemson Tigers and Texas Longhorns over what uniforms each team would wear.

Nevertheless, Clemson has officially announced its uniform combination for Saturday’s road matchup against Texas at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The Tigers will be wearing their traveling white jerseys over orange pants.

The team announced its uniforms on social media with the message: “CFP means Orange Britches. #Clemson”

It’s the third straight game the Tigers will wear the patented Orange Britches, something they reserve for their annual rivalry game against South Carolina and for postseason contests.

Kickoff for Clemson vs. Texas is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on TNT and simulcast on TBS and truTV.

A Clemson win would ensure the Tigers of a berth in the Peach Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta against the Big 12 champion Arizona State Sun Devils on New Year’s Day.
