Alabama wide receiver, former top recruit enters NCAA transfer portal

A fourth Alabama wide receiver has now entered the transfer portal.

The latest member of the Alabama Crimson Tide football roster entered the NCAA transfer portal officially Monday night, as Emmanuel Henderson Jr. announced his intentions to play elsewhere in 2025.

A wide receiver, Henderson originally came to Alabama as a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2022 recruiting class considered as the nation’s No. 2 overall running back out of in-state Geneva County High School.

Once at Alabama however, the highly-rated four-star prospect would go on to transition to the wide receiver position where he primarily played a special teams role across three seasons from 2022-24.

That stretch included a combined stat line of five receptions for 96 yards, six kick returns for 115 yards, and nine tackles defensively. This season, the wide receiver had four receptions for 82 yards, five kick returns for 107 yards, and four tackles.

Henderson becomes the latest Alabama wide receiver to enter the transfer portal, a total that now sits at four this cycle. The others who have also announced they were entering the transfer portal are Kobe Prentice, Caleb Odom, and Kendrick Law.
