The Green Bay Packers scored a touchdown on the opening drive of Sunday night’s showdown with the Seattle Seahawks and never looked back, leading the rest of the way during a 30-13 victory at Lumen Field.
Jordan Love threw a pair of touchdown passes to Romeo Doubs, Josh Jacobs produced 136 total yards and the Packers defense created seven sacks and two takeaways in a mostly dominant performance against a Seahawks team that came into the night leading the NFC West after four straight wins.
Now 10-4, the Packers are in a terrific position to clinch a playoff spot entering Week 16.

Game balls
Offense — QB Jordan Love: He completed 20 or 27 passes, threw a pair of touchdown passes, didn’t have an interception and produced a passer rating over 100.0 for the fifth straight game.
Defense — LB Edgerrin Cooper: The rookie returned to the field from a hamstring injury and produced a sack, an interception, a pass breakup (near interception) and two quarterback hits.
Special teams — K Brandon McManus: His longest kick was only 39 yards, but McManus made all six kicks — three field goals and three extra points. A perfect night in the kicking department is always something to celebrate in a December primetime road game.
Key stat
3: The number of net passing yards the Seahawks produced after Sam Howell entered the game for an injured Geno Smith. Howell completed only 5-of-14 passes for 24 yards and took four sacks for -21 yards. The Packers dominated a backup quarterback down the stretch.
Deciding factor
Four straight scoring drives: The Packers won the toss, took the ball and drove the field — behind Josh Jacobs — to go up 7-0. They set the tone and piled on early. Up 17-3 late in the first half, Carrington Valentine intercepted Geno Smith in the end zone, and the Packers drove for a field goal. That swing was huge entering the half.
Jordan Love watch
Love was mostly excellent against a Seahawks pass defense that came into the game ranked No. 1 in EPA allowed/dropback over the last four weeks. Love completed 20 of 27 passes for 229 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. He averaged 8.5 yards per attempt, hit four different players for completions of 20 or more yards and finished with a passer rating of 123.8 — his fifth straight game above 100.0. He didn’t have an interception for the fourth straight game.

Welcome back, Romeo Doubs. He finished off the Packers’ second drive with a 12-yard touchdown that required powering through a pair of Seahawks defenders on his way to the end zone. The score put the Packers up 14-0.
Injury updates
Linebacker Quay Walker exited with an ankle injury and did not return.
What’s next
A visit from the 5-9 New Orleans Saints on “Monday Night Football.” The Saints nearly completed a comeback but lost to the Washington Commanders on Sunday in New Orleans. Keep an eye on the Saints quarterback situation during the coming week.
NFC North update
The Lions lost to the Bills in the early timeslot, keeping open — for now — the very narrow path for the Packers to win the NFC North. Again, it’ll take a miracle. Keeping the dream alive would require the Bears beating the Vikings on Monday night. The Packers remain in third place in the division.
