The Green Bay Packers used a pair of touchdown passes from Jordan Love to Romeo Doubs and a dominant performance from Jeff Hafley’s defense to take down the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field on Sunday night.
Matt LaFleur’s team is now 10-4 and in an excellent postseason position with three games to go.
Josh Jacobs scored a 1-yard touchdown to put the Packers up 7-0 on the opening possession, Love hit Doubs for the first of two touchdown passes one drive later and the Packers led 20-3 after a dominant first half.
While the offense battled through an inconsistent second half, and the Seahawks — without Geno Smith, who exited with a leg injury — cut the lead to 10 points in the fourth quarter, the Packers mostly dominated from start to finish. The 17-point win was a fitting result.
Rookie Edgerrin Cooper produced a sack, an interception, a pass breakup and two quarterback hits.
Jacobs turned 30 total touches into 136 yards and a score. Christian Watson caught three passes for 56 yards and drew a 39-yard pass interference penalty, while Jayden Reed created 61 yards on eight touches. Doubs, who returned from missing two games with a concussion, caught three passes for 40 yards and two scores, including an incredible sliding catch on a 22-yard touchdown to seal the deal in the fourth quarter.
The Packers scored 30 or more points for the fourth consecutive game. The defense, meanwhile, created seven sacks, 10 tackles for loss and 12 quarterback hits. Six different players had sacks, while nine different players hit the quarterback. Carrington Valentine intercepted Smith in the end zone, eliminating a scoring chance in the first half. The Seahawks finished with 208 total yards and two turnovers.
Now 10-4, the Packers can clinch a postseason spot with a victory next week.
The Packers will host the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field on “Monday Night Football” in Week 16. Quarterback Derek Carr is not expected to play for the Saints, who are 5-9 after losing to the Washington Commanders earlier on Sunday.
