Pat Surtain Sr. took to Twitter/X to react to his son’s ankle injury against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon.
“Nooooooo!!” the elder Surtain tweeted, a sentiment undoubtedly shared by Denver Broncos fans across the country.
The Broncos’ cornerback was hit hard by Colts wide receiver Josh Downs in the fourth quarter after Surtain intercepted an Anthony Richardson pass. Surtain initially seemed to be OK and he returned the game only to later go down with what the team described as an ankle injury.
With a short week before facing the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday Night Football, Surtain’s status will be in doubt going into Week 16.

Surtain’s dad later tweeted that he expects PS2 to be fine.
“He got that Nolia blood…he’ll be fine🙏🏾🙏🏾,” Surtain tweeted.
Surtain finished Sunday’s game with two pass breakups, one tackle and one interception. He now has 10 PBUs and four INTs through 13 games this year. The 24-year-old cornerback missed one game earlier this season with a concussion. Fans in Denver will now hope Surtain is able to recovery in time for Thursday’s game against the Chargers.
