Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb suffered a broken foot during the Week 15 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The unfortunate injury occurred during the third quarter when Chubb was involved in a read-option play. The fan-favorite running back returned to the field this year after suffering a devastating knee injury in Week 2 of the 2023 season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He returned to action in October of this season, beginning the laborious process of restoring his elite status. Unfortunately, it looks like this season will instead go down as one to forget for Chubb. He currently has 291 rushing yards for three touchdowns, averaging 3.1 yards per carry.
Cleveland is officially eliminated from making the NFL postseason, leaving little reason for Nick Chubb to return to action in 2024. The star running back’s contract is also set to expire at the end of the season with hopes of returning to the team.
Many hope for him to be back next season after a very disappointing return from his knee injury.
