The second round of Pro Bowl fan voting is in, so where do the Indianapolis Colts players currently stand?
After the initial results were released last week, Zaire Franklin was the No. 2 inside linebacker, Nick Cross the No. 4 strong safety, and Quenton Nelson the No. 10 guard.
And as of Monday evening, no changes–at least for any Colts’ players–have occurred. Franklin, Cross, and Nelson still hold the same rankings within their position groups, while no new Colts players have entered the Pro Bowl fan-voting conversation.
Franklin leads the NFL in tackles among all players entering Week 15, while Cross is at No. 4 on that list.
Franklin has also forced 13 pressures, and has one interception and three pass breakups in coverage. Cross, meanwhile, is holding pass-catchers to only 8.5 yards per catch and has a team-high two interceptions.
Nelson is playing at a high level in both the run and passing games, ranking 14th out of 75 eligible guards in PFF’s pass-blocking efficiency and is sixth in run-blocking grade.
Along with being recognized as one of the best at each position group, Pro Bowl recognition can be tied to contract incentives for some players as well.
The NFC and AFC Pro Bowl rosters will be determined by the fans, coaches, and players, with each group’s vote counting as one-third towards determining who makes each team.
