Texas A&M will host Texas Tech transfer wide receiver this week

Texas A&M is set to host former Texas Tech wide receiver Micah Hudson this week

Texas A&M’s 2024 season will end after the Aggie’s Las Vegas Bowl matchup vs USC on Friday, Dec. 27. Still, until then, head coach Mike Elko and his staff are entirely focused on gaining talent through the transfer portal amid the Aggies now 17 departures.

This week, Aggie fans are split on whether the recent portal departures, including offensive linemen Kam Dewberry and TJ Shanahan, will impact the team in 2025. Texas A&M can afford nearly every departure on paper, but Elko needs to add depth pieces as soon as this week.

However, the good news is potentially on the horizon, as multiple sources, including TexAgs’ Ryan Brauninger, have confirmed that former Texas Tech wide receiver Micah Hudson will visit Texas A&M over the next two days as the once heralded five-star recruit was nearly an Aggie commit before choosing the Red Raiders.

Texas A&M desperately needs wide receivers, specifically receivers who can separate and run crisp routes while displaying the high-end athleticism to pick up significant gains through the air.

During his only season with the Red Raiders, Hudson recorded just eight receptions and 123 yards.
