The Los Angeles Rams need some things to go their way against a 10-2 team like the Buffalo Bills and in the second quarter, they got a huge play on special teams.
With the Bills punting, Jake Hummel broke through the line and got his arm on the kick, blocking it and sending it backwards. Hunter Long was in perfect position to scoop it up and he ran 22 yards for a touchdown.
It was Long’s first career touchdown and the Rams’ first blocked punt for a score since 2018, getting a massive difference-making play from Chase Blackburn’s unit. Hummel, who has a knack for blocking punts, delivered with the biggest play of his career.
