Packers DL Kenny Clark named team’s nominee for Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award in 2024

For the second time in his career, DL Kenny Clark is the Packers’ nominee for the Walter Paytron NFL Man of the Year award.

Defensive lineman Kenny Clark is the Green Bay Packers’ nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award for the 2024 season.

Clark, a first-round pick in 2016 and now the team’s longest-tenured player, was previously the Packers’ nominee for the 2018 season.

The annual award, which was first established in 1970, represents “the NFL’s commitment to philanthropy and community impact” and serves to recognize “an NFL player for outstanding community service activities off the field, as well as excellence on the field,” per the league’s press release.

Clark will wear a special decal on his helmet for the final four games of the 2024 season. He will also be recognized during the week of the Super Bowl, with the winner of the award announced during “NFL Honors” on Feb. 6 before the Super Bowl.

As a nominee, Clark will receive a donation of up to $55,000 to a charity of his choice, while the winner receives a donation of up to $265,000 to charity.

Cam Hayward of the Pittsburgh Steelers was the winner last season. No member of the Green Bay Packers has ever won the award.
