We’ve reached the final weekend of the 2024 regular season, and rivalry week is filled with exciting matchups. Still, the Lone Star Showdown revival between Texas A&M and the Texas Longhorns has major postseason implications.
After Alabama’s loss to Oklahoma in Week 13, the Aggies’ quadruple overtime loss to Auburn didn’t mean as much as we initially thought, as Saturday’s matchup between the Aggies and Longhorns will determine Georgia’s opponent in the SEC Championship game on Dec. 7.
Leading up to the critical matchup, both teams understand the gravity of the rivalry’s continuation. While the stakes are the highest they’ve been in years, team pride will always be on the line, no matter each team’s record.
Last weekend, it was announced that College GameDay would head to College Station on Saturday, but the question remained: Who will be the guest picker?
On Wednesday, ESPN announced that the five-man comedy and sports group Dude Perfect would be the guest pickers for the matchup, as every member attended Texas A&M and formed the team in 2009.
While some older Aggies may not be familiar with the group, Dude Perfect has amassed 60 million YouTube subscribers.
No. 19 Texas A&M will host No. 3 Texas on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 6:30 pm. CT. The game will air on ABC.
