LSU’s 2025 recruiting class took a hit when [autotag]Bryce Underwood [/autotag]flipped to Michigan last week. According to 247Sports, another blue-chip recruit is about to exit LSU’s class.
Four-star receiver and LSU commit Derek Meadows received two Crystal Ball projections to land at Alabama.
247Sports’ Tom Loy and Blair Angulo logged the predictions on Wednesday.
Meadows’ flip has been expected for some time — it’s just a matter of when and where. Notre Dame had momentum at one point before Michigan made a run. Now, the Crimson Tide appear to be the destination.
247Sports ranks Meadows as the No. 7 receiver in the class and No. 46 overall recruit.
Meadows is a loss for LSU, but as stated, it’s not unexpected.
As of now, Meadows is the top-ranked receiver in LSU’s class. The Tigers already had one elite receiver leave the class this cycle when five-star Dakorien Moore de-committed and later pledged to Oregon.
According to On3 and 247Sports, LSU’s class ranks No. 6 in the country. Even with the loss of Meadows, LSU is expected to finish with a top 10 class.
