After getting released by the Denver Broncos on Monday, the New York Giants claimed former UCLA Bruins tight end Greg Dulcich off of waivers on Tuesday.
Dulcich has played in four games in 2024, starting three of them and piling up just 28 yards off of five receptions. Over his three years as a Bronco after being selected in the third round of the NFL Draft, Dulcich had 41 catches for 464 yards and two touchdowns. Dulcich struggled to stay on the field, appearing in only 16 games while getting placed on injured reserve four times in the three years.
Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network described the move to the Giants as a “fresh start” with Dulcich joining the 2-9 team that’s in last place of the NFC East.
As a Bruin, Dulcich totaled 1,353 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns in 33 games with UCLA. He was a semifinalist for the John Mackey Award in 2021 and was named First-Team AP and All-PAC-12.
Dulcich was added to the Giants’ roster after putting linebacker Azeez Ojulari on injured reserve. He joins a Giants’ tight end room with Theo Johnson, Daniel Bellinger and Chris Manhertz.
